About Us

"I wish, I wish" were words that frequently fell from Paula Lorenzo's mouth after giving birth to her son. After he was born, Paula found herself inundated with gifts including flowers, baby toys and clothes, when all she really wanted was for someone to come and clean her house and wax her eyebrows. It was during this time that the idea for iWish iWish (www.iwishiwish.com.au) was born. The website offers practical, service based gifts for people who are time-poor and for those who have everything.

The gifts offered on iWish iWish range from cleaning services and beauty therapy (massages, waxing, facials) to dog walking, personal training and personal chefs. The cost of packages range from under $100 for presents such as fruit baskets, to more extravagant presents such as a $25,000 live-in personal trainer.

"After my son was born, I remember my husband asking me what I wanted and all I kept saying was "I wish someone would clean the house", "I wish this", "I wish that". I loved all the presents I was given, but there were some things that would have been very helpful - like someone to do the grocery shopping!" says Paula, founder of iWish iWish.

Paula hopes to change the perception of gift-giving and extend the idea of service based gifts across Australia. "I'd like to think of iWish iWish as the thoughtful gift," says Paula. "I'm sure any mum would appreciate having their bathroom cleaned or having a beautician come to their house. However we have great gift ideas for everyone - we have car detailing for men and personal chefs for busy corporates who don't have time to cook."

Importantly, iWish iWish also offers people the gift of time - recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) shows that over half of the parents in working families currently work extra hours1, reflecting the importance of time management. "I think people can be too focused on material things, so what we offer is perfect for people who need time and don't necessarily have the time to wash their windows or cook dinner or whatever it may be."

About iWish iWish

iWish iWish is the brainchild of Paula Lorenzo. After giving birth to her first child, Paula was inundated with gifts and while she appreciated all the thoughts, all she really wanted was to have someone clean her house, or the chance to get her eyebrows waxed. It was from this experience that the idea for iWish iWish was born - a gifting website that would offer service based gifts. iWish iWish currently provides over 300 different packages ranging from house cleaning to personal chefs.
